About

Easycal is an independent iPhone budgeting app built in Porto, Portugal.

Why it exists

Most budgeting apps ask you to connect your bank account, which means your spending data passes through an intermediary. Easycal started from the idea that this is unnecessary: your bank already gives you a PDF statement, and your phone is more than capable of reading it.

How it works

The statement is parsed inside the phone. Transactions stay on the device. Our servers hold no statement, no balance and no account number — because none of it ever reaches us. The app requests no system permissions.

Who builds it

Easycal is built by Serkan Sayar. Living in Portugal, he started from the practical problem of dealing with several countries’ bank formats and several currencies at once.

Business model

The app is free to download and reads unlimited statements on the free tier. Revenue comes only from the Premium subscription. No advertising, no data selling, no third-party trackers — in the app or on this website.
